On top you can have a plate sanguine Armor with 14 DR (IIRC you can further enchant it for more DR) Psychovampiric Shield, Going Between, Defensive Mindweb are extremely strong, no joke. Instead they should be used to flank and assist, and that's extremely easy to do on this game.Īlso they start with amazing CCs, some of which are fast cast, combined with high DEX you can almost instantly take any heat off yourself immediately.Īlso worth to mention that Ciphers have plenty of means to heal themselves or to stay in combat. Ciphers at very low levels are never meant to be tankers or front liners. I mean 5% of 1.000 is more than 5% of 100 if you get what I mean.Ģ. It's simply less effective and impactful by default. That really doesn't synergy well with tons of CON. So you've a naturally squishy with lower armor character.

Also they don't go full plate early game, cause it tanks damage, thus focus. CON increase a percentage of it, therefore it will always be wasted. Cipher has a very low endurance, the lowest as possible. Either way it would work, but 8 CON I think it's very viable for PoTD.ġ. Then you'll notice a difference early game, but then you'll also have to sacrifice much more important stats that will either tank your DPS and thus focus, or INT. It would only make a difference if you started with say, 14+ CON vs 8. It only gets noticeable at levels 7+, of which he'll have buffs to become very tanky, due armor, talents, party and self buffs.īasically 8 CON is as good as 10 CON for that matter. The difference early game is about 3 or so endurance at level 1, and it scales very slowly from there. I did an 3 CON Cipher as ranged, it was extremely easy to keep him alive. Of course if I do so, I'll be able to boost one of those secondary stats, or just leave it as it's, once I get MIG to 20, DEX to 18 and INT to 18 that is. With Accuracy debuffs and deflection buffs, I can dump a little of RES.įor the same reason as above I can also dump CON.ĭue accuracy buffs, talents, and skills I'll be able to dump PER late game. I do not think that 2 lower stat points would make any difference whatsoever late game, with gear, talents and stuff. If I want a stronger buffer/debuffer/CC Cipher then I should focus on INT as the main stat instead. Likewise it will result into a cipher with stronger damaging spells. Generally speaking if I want to build more focus, then I should take MIG as the main stat. Wizard works well in general with Cipher, the Cipher can support their survival, and Wizards are the best CCs. Later will be possible to dump PER to enhance other stats for even more damage, if desired. The Paladin, Priest and Chanter Combo will generate the strongest accuracy buff and some others buffs in general, in order to maximize focus gain. Wizard (Best CC, Will Debuffer, and AoE DPS) Rogue (DPS, Will Debuffer and Reaping Knives)Ħ. Paladin (Before I've got great results with a 2h Fighter and Barb as tankers, so I believe the Paladin can also tank with a 2h weapon, however he has more support spells, the accuracy will be extra important due low PER, also healing and revive if needed.)ģ. The idea is to have the entire party to enhance and synergy with my MC.Ģ. Restarting now, since it was a couple years ago.
Played PoTD before, but got side tracked in the middle and didn't finished.
